Where People Usually Start
Relationship Issues
Recurring conflict, disconnection and the patterns a couple cannot seem to step out of.
Eating Disorders
Work informed by extensive eating disorder training, held alongside your medical care.
Divorce and Separation
Deciding, separating, and co-parenting through it with less damage.
Anxiety
Worry, dread and vigilance, and the relationships that keep them going.
Depression
Flatness, withdrawal and exhaustion, understood in context rather than in isolation.
Trauma and PTSD
Paced trauma work, with safety before depth.
Bipolar Disorder
Therapy that works with your prescriber, never in place of one.
ADHD
Attention, follow-through and the friction ADHD creates at home and at work.
Body Image
How you see and speak about your body, and where that voice came from.
Codependency
Over-responsibility for other people, and what it costs to keep it up.
Family Conflict
Households stuck in the same argument, seen as a system rather than a culprit.
Self-Esteem
The internal commentary that decides what you think you are allowed to want.
Life Transitions
Moves, careers, new parenthood, empty nests and the identity shifts inside them.
Athena does not treat substance abuse, grief, or OCD, and she is not a prescriber: medication questions belong with a physician or psychiatrist. She is licensed in Utah only and works with clients located in Utah, in person at the Salt Lake City office or by telehealth.
